Kids’ entertainment just got more exciting as POGO officially launched its brand-new 3D animated series Sampat Champat, which premiered on May 18. Inspired by the much-loved characters from the legendary Lotpot Comics universe, the series marks a fresh and exciting chapter for one of India’s most iconic comic legacies.
For over four decades, Sampat Champat have entertained comic readers with their hilarious adventures and timeless humor. Now, for the very first time, the beloved duo has made the leap from comic pages to television screens in a colorful and visually engaging animated format. The series promises a fun-filled mix of comedy, adventure, and nostalgia for audiences of all ages.
Speaking about the launch, Aman Bajaj, Publisher of Lotpot Comics and Producer of the show, expressed his excitement about bringing the iconic characters to life through animation.
He shared that Sampat Champat have been a part of Lotpot Comics for more than 40 years, and seeing them come alive on television is a proud and thrilling moment. He also highlighted that Lotpot Comics has already given audiences successful kids’ franchises like Motu Patlu and Sheikh Chilli & Friends, adding that he hopes Indian homegrown intellectual properties receive even greater support from broadcasters in the future.
Adding to the enthusiasm, Shivank Arora, CMO of Lotpot Comics and Producer of the show, called the project a dream come true. He revealed that the team had worked tirelessly for years to bring the series to television and expressed hope that the show would resonate strongly with audiences and achieve record-breaking success.
Comic writer and illustrator Dr. Harvinder Mankkar, who originally created Sampat Champat around 40 years ago for Lotpot Comics, also shared his happiness over the animated adaptation. He praised the final animation quality and said the show exceeded expectations, expressing confidence that viewers would connect deeply with the series.
