Sony SAB’s ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma’ has been a fan-favourite for the last 16 years. The show celebrates community spirit with a union of various cultures coming together to celebrate festivals, as well as supporting each other in the need of the hour. Over the years, the show has created a substantial fanbase with various celebrities gracing the show. One such celebrity who is also a huge fan of the show, is the rising sports star and Paris Olympics 2024 bronze medallist Aman Sherawat, the youngest Indian freestyle wrestler to win an individual Olympic medal. The celebrated wrestler visited the set of his favourite show, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, to celebrate the ongoing Ganesh Chaturthi.
The beloved Gokuldham Society is known for its grand celebrations, and this year, the festivities are extra special given Aman’s presence. The Mahila Mandal has decorated the society with sarees representing various Indian states, creating a colorful and culturally rich backdrop for the celebrations. Aman Sherawat joined the cast and Asit Kumarr Modi for a special segment where he interacted with the residents of Gokuldham Society, including the beloved Tapu Sena, and performed Ganesh Aarti.
Olympic Medallist and wrestler Aman Sherawat, said, “I have been a huge fan of ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ since I was a kid, so being on the set was a dream come true. The energy and warmth of the Gokuldham Society members is unmatched. They are just as vibrant in real life as they are on screen. It was an amazing experience to be part of the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, interacting with Tappu Sena and performing the Ganesh Aarti.”
Speaking about his preparation for Olympics, Aman Sherawat added, “While practising whenever I would get dejected or tired, I would watch episodes of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah and this would energise me to start my preparation again. I am very happy to meet all the artists during the shoot. This show brings so much joy to people, and I’m honored to be a part of that spirit.”
