Bappi Lahiri’s family gets emotional watching Dipessh kashyap’s performance at ‘Disco Dancer-The Musical’ rehearsals

Dipessh Kashyap rose to prominence with his debut as a singer with Hitz Music Label with the song ‘Tumhe KHOKE’ featuring himself, also presented by Vinod Bhanushali, and  followed by various acting projects in 2022.

Dipessh, who believes in experimenting with his skills and exploring new prospects, will soon be seen as an antagonist for the stage musical ‘Disco Dancer – The Musical.’

Dipessh was lately rehearsing the song ‘KOI YAHAN WAHAN NACHE NACHE’ from the film DISCO DANCER, which was composed and sung by BAPPI LAHIRI. Dipessh was paid a visit by Ace singer and composer Bappi Lahiri’s daughter Rema Lahiri and family.

According to the source ,Dipessh’s performance on late Bappi Lahiri’s song at the rehearsal, stirred Rema Lahiri’s emotions, and she couldn’t stop crying as she missed her celebrated father. Dipessh’s performance moved her, and she wished him luck for the upcoming performance.

Rema said: “It is hard to believe that my father is no longer around because no matter where I go, his music follows me. I was completely overwhelmed while watching the rehearsals of ‘Disco Dancer-The Musical’ because it is the perfect tribute to my father’s music.”

She further mentioned: “I wish he was here with us to see this production with all of us. It has been mounted on such a huge scale and no effort has been spared to recreate the era when this film and its music were making huge waves across the world.”

“As an actor, I just tried to humanize the character and bring it to life with my performance so that the audience can see it as one of their own instead of a work of fiction and I feel Rema ji’s pain,” actor Dipessh says. “Dipessh also became emotional and became overwhelmed with the feelings of missing someone you love most.
