In an age where content is consumed within seconds and competition is constantly intensifying, staying relevant has become one of the biggest challenges for artists. Actress Ashnoor Kaur, who began her career as a child artist and was recently seen on Bigg Boss 18, believes that talent alone is no longer enough—personal branding has become equally important.
Speaking on the sidelines of Content India 2026, a three-day industry event hosted by Dish TV India, Ashnoor emphasized the need for artists to go beyond just creating content. “It’s important to not just be a content creator but to build your own personal brand. With competition so high, how you present yourself in the market really matters,” she said.
She highlighted that while having a strong reach is important in today’s digital landscape, it should not be confused with talent. “I would not say your reach equals your talent. Talent always finds a way to shine,” she added.
Ashnoor also spoke about the changing patterns of audience consumption, pointing out how social media and short-form content have significantly reduced attention spans. “Today, the hook of a video has to be extremely engaging for viewers to stay till the end,” she noted.
Touching upon the global reach of Indian content, she expressed excitement over how stories are now crossing borders. “People from across the world are watching our content, even with subtitles. It shows that cinema has truly become a global experience,” she said.
She further appreciated platforms like Content India for fostering meaningful discussions and opportunities within the industry. “Stories today are not limited by geographical boundaries, and that opens up new avenues we couldn’t have imagined a few years ago,” she concluded.
