With an outstanding new series scheduled to debut on January 23, 2023, Star Bharat is all ready to enthrall its audience. The new show will be made by Film Farm Productions. Vibhav Roy has been cast by the show’s producers to play an important part. He is renowned for his work as many different characters in a number of well-known shows and on-demand services. He will now appear as ‘Som’ in the upcoming Star Bharat television show ‘Meri Saas Bhoot Hai.’ Vibhav Roy has contributed to numerous important projects on the OTT platform. After spending almost 4 years away from television, he is making a comeback with a new mainstream drama on Star Bharat. Vibhav discussed the reasons behind his extended absence from television.
*Vibhav Roy says,* “I never purposefully ignored a certain form of media, whether it was television or an OTT site, so there. I’ve been waiting for good tales and scripts to come my way for all these years, but nothing has truly caught my attention. The engaging plot of “Meri Saas Bhoot Hai” drew me in, so when I was offered the part, I chose to work on the programme. I previously turned down a part on an attractive OTT platform, but I later decided to work there since I always look for strong stories and compelling characters despite being platform-averse. Working with TV or on Ott both have different and positive experiences, therefore I never have bias. I mentioned before that the characters and plot are always what drive me the most. Working with diverse directors and writers piques my interest. I don’t have a specific preference for a platform”
The two central characters in the story are ‘Gaura’ and ‘Rekha’ wll be played by Kajal Chauhan and Sushmita Mukherjee respectively. The narrative of the plot will be a light drama with humorous parts to show the relationship between a mother-in-law and daughter-in-law.
