During the release of the song from the film Shatak, when singer Sukhwinder Singh was asked about his fee for the track, he replied with a smile, “I’ve only been paid in chocolates.”
Reminiscing about his early days, Sukhwinder Singh shared that an RSS shakha used to be held in front of his home in Punjab, which he often attended. People there would ask him to sing, and in return, he would be given chocolates.
In the same playful spirit, he said that when the Shatak team approached him for the song, he told them to do the same—“Just give me chocolates in exchange for the song.”
