The festive season is back and how! After a hiatus of more than two years, people are getting to celebrate different festivals with full gusto. We all are aware of the festive fervour in Mumbai. After Ganeshotsav, the city is now all set to welcome Navratri. The nine-day festival starts from September 26 till October 5. And looks like the garba lovers are in for a treat to celebrate this festival.
Mumbai’s Borivali region has been the epicentre of Navratri nights. With massive garba events held across different parts of the city, people cannot wait to dance to the tunes of their favourite Gujarati folk singers. To enthral the audience, singer duo Preety-Pinky is all charged up and cannot wait to perform at Rang Raas presented by the Raigad Pratishthan.
The duo will be performing amidst thousands of people, and the event is organised by Pravin Darekar and Prakash Darekar. Recently, a press conference was held in the city’s Courtyard Marriott Hotel where the sisters shared their excitement about performing at the Navratri event. The press conference event was graced by several other celebrities including Padamshri Manoj Joshi, Pinaki Shah, Shiva Shetty and Jignesh Bhuta.
Understanding people’s excitement about playing garba after two long years, the organisers decided to keep the entry pass free for everyone. The announcement was made by Pravin Darekar and the sister duo at the press conference, and they have ensured to make this event a spectacular affair. As per the regular ticket prices, the entry fee starts from Rs 2000. However, this year the passes will be free of cost with proper security setup at the event.
Sharing their excitement, Preety-Pinky said, “We cannot wait to perform during the Navratri season. Like everyone, even we waited anxiously for two years. And the best part is that the organisers have done a brilliant by following the COVID-19 protocol.” While concluding, they stated that the garba and dandiya lovers are going to have a gala time at the event.
