The latest episode of Filmfare Lockdown Conversations features Bollywood’s Dhak Dhak girl, Madhuri Dixit-Nene. It’s all about the endearing memories and mesmerizing dances through her journey. In a free-flowing candid conversation with Filmfare editor, Jitesh Pillaai, Madhuri speaks at length about Bollywood’s evolution, her journey as a dancer, working with veteran choreographer Saroj Khan, life under lockdown and much more…
Madhuri shares, “Back then, everything was different. In my early days I used to get frustrated as sometimes, I couldn’t get the technicalities of dancing in front of the camera right. I would be like I just want to dance, let me dance.” Talking about blockbuster Tezaab, she quips, “Tezaab was the movie in which I perfected the art of Bollywood dancing. Saroji said you will have to do daily rehearsals. I surprised her by turning up every day, absolutely hell-bent on getting those steps and expressions perfect.”Talking about her iconic song, Kay sera sera (Pukar), Madhuri said, “When I was told that Prabhudheva was going to choreograph the song I was a little scared for the first time in my life. But he made it easy for me saying we would do it in small steps. He would encourage and motivate me. He has the perfect rhythm and is a fabulous dancer.”Watch Madhuri Dixit-Nene talk more about her journey only on Filmfare Lockdown Conversations  across Filmfare’s social media platforms.
